How Will College Football Playoff Bracket Look After Key Losses In Week 11?

The College Football season is in full swing and the most important time has come.

The first release of the CFB Playoff bracket was released last week. The next one will be shared on Tuesday following the Week 11 contest — and there were major losses to teams in the field.

Major Results

First and foremost, Georgia went out to Ole Miss and fell in a game where the Rebels dominated defensively. This opens the door for other teams in the SEC to make a move down the stretch of the season. One being Ole Miss.

Another result in the conference was Alabama and LSU taking part in what might have been an elimination game. Both teams entered with two losses and could not afford a third. The Crimson Tide dominated from the opening minutes and earned a lopsided road victory.

Finally, Miami turned out to be the frauds that everyone thought. The Hurricanes were playing with fire all season long and finally got caught against Georgia Tech.

How Will The Bracket Play Out?

Despite the loss to Georgia Tech, Miami remains at the top of the ACC. This means the Hurricanes will remain in the fourth spot in the rankings. The top four conference champions will make up the top four spots.

The same cannot be said about Georgia. The Bulldogs fell out of the top spot in the SEC but will not fall out of the rankings. A road loss to No. 12 Ole Miss is not enough to knock Georgia out. Texas will likely move up to the second seed. This is where winning your conference will be as important as ever.

The real question is, did Ole Miss do enough to move into the field?

The Rebels are right on the cusp of the rankings. This is because the 12th and final spot is held by the highest-ranked, non-power-conference champion. Right now, that would be Boise State.

This means Ole Miss would have to jump either Georgia, Ole Miss, or even Notre Dame.
