ECW Mini-Invasion Coming to WWE NXT Next Week

Extreme Championship Wrestling alumni are slowly creeping into NXT before next week’s show at ECW Arena in Philadelphia.

Bubba Ray Dudley started this trend by saving NXT champion Trick Williams from an attack by Ethan Page and Ridge Holland at Halloween Havoc on Sunday.

Dudley appeared again on Tuesday night’s NXT episode. Trick suggested that they team up to face Page & Holland, but Bubba declined, saying that he didn’t want to take anyone’s spot.

However, Bubba changed his mind later in the show after a brawl involving the four men.

ECW legend Rob Van Dam also appeared on the show. He will be at the ECW Arena next week as well.

Due to Election Day, NXT will have its special show on Wednesday, Nov. 6. That means it will go head-to-head with AEW Dynamite.

CASKET MATCH

Tatum Paxley defeated Wendy Choo in the first-ever women’s casket match. Before getting stuffed into the casket, Choo gave Paxley a full-nelson slam onto a pile of Legos.

Charlie Dempsey retained the Heritage Cup with a win over Lexis King. William Regal offered King brass knuckles to use against Dempsey, his own son!

Even more surprisingly, King refused to use the weapon and lost.

MORE WOMEN’S ACTION

Australian powerhouse Zaria won her debut match over Brinley Reece. Zaria used Brock Lesnar’s F5 slam as a finisher.

A 10-woman brawl took place after the match, including TNA Wrestling star Jordynne Grace. This was a preview of next week’s 10-woman tag team match.

Kelani Jordan bounced back from losing the North American women’s title by defeating Nikkita Lyons. Jordan finishes her matches with the split-legged moonsault as a tribute to Rob Van Dam.

In the main event, Nathan Frazier & Axiom retained the NXT tag team belts in a high-flying battle with Je’Von Evans & Cedric Alexander.
