Dustin Rhodes Finds Fountain of Youth in Arlington, Texas
At the age of 55, Dustin Rhodes suddenly can’t stop winning championships.
Rhodes teamed with Sammy Guevara last night in Arlington, Texas, to win the Ring Of Honor tag team title from The Undisputed Kingdom on AEW Collision.
Last month, Dustin teamed with Ross & Marshall Von Erich to win the ROH six-man tag team belts. That victory also took place in Arlington and came at the expense of The Undisputed Kingdom.
Earlier this week, Rhodes appeared at a press conference announcing that that next year’s All In will take place at the Texas Rangers’ baseball stadium in Arlington.
Fans are already calling the show “Y’all In.”
WOMEN’S WRESTLING!
Dr. Britt Baker opened Collision with a victory over Harley Cameron. Baker will challenge Mercedes Mone for the TBS title at All In.
After the match, Mone sent her bodyguard, Kamille, to attack the wrestling dentist.
Mariah May, who will challenge Toni Storm for the AEW women’s title at All In, squashed Londyn Dior.
Storm appeared in one of her black-and-white films and said she will make the River Thames run red with May’s blood.
MULTI-MAN MADNESS
FTR battled The Acclaimed to a time-limit draw in the main event, so both teams will challenge The Young Bucks for the AEW tag team title at All In.
What about the AEW trios titles? It looked like we were going to see another three-way, with The Patriarchy defending against The Bang Bang Gang and The House of Black.
But hold on! A “Wild Card” match will take place on Wednesday’s Dynamite from Cardiff, Wales. The winners will become the fourth team in a “London Ladders” match at All In for the trios title.
In other Collision matches, Claudio Castagnoli defeated Lio Rush; TNT champion Jack Perry destroyed Danny Orion; and Hologram beat Angelico.
