WWE champion Cody Rhodes’ allies can’t seem to get on board with his upcoming tag team match with Roman Reigns as his partner.

Reigns and the Bloodline ran roughshod over everyone, including Cody, for years, so Kevin Owens and Randy Orton have been skeptical of the Rhodes-Reigns team.

After a lengthy discussion of this issue on last night’s Smackdown, Owens and Orton lost the main event to Bloodline members Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu.

That’s the team that will take on Cody & Roman at Bad Blood next Saturday.

SUPER SERIES

Carmelo Hayes defeated Andrade to tie their series of outstanding matches at three wins apiece. Their seventh and final match should take place on a big event.

The last best-of-seven series like this was Booker T vs. Chris Benoit in WCW back in 1998. Both went on to win the WCW title.

Bayley earned another shot at the WWE women’s title by defeating her friend, Naomi. Bayley won with the Macho Man elbow off the top rope.

Michin defeated Piper Niven, gaining momentum for next week’s Dumpster Match against Chelsea Green.

Also next week, Bloodline members Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa will defend the WWE tag team title in a ladder match against #DIY and The Street Profits.

AJ Styles will return to Smackdown next week, too. He has been absent since losing his WWE title match against Cody Rhodes at Backlash France in April.
