Cowboys Star CeeDee Lamb Ends Hold Out, Signs Four Year $136 Million Extension
Dallas Cowboys fans, the wait is finally over.
Superstar Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has signed a four-year $136 million contract extension making him the second highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL behind Vikings star Justin Jefferson.
Lamb’s contract agreement will end his holdout 13 days before Dallas opens their 2024 season in Cleveland against the Browns.
Cowboys fans were left questioning whether Lamb would be with Dallas when they travel to Cleveland after owner Jerry Jones told reporters he “didn’t have any urgency” to get a deal with Lamb done.
Now that said deal is complete, Lamb will earn a receiver-record $38 million signing bonus and will make $34 million annually.
In 2023 Lamb proved his worth bringing in 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns while playing all 17 games.
Along with being consistent, Lamb proved his versatility snagging over 800 yards in both the slot and on the outside.
Entering his age-25 season, Lamb is now set for four more years with the team that drafted him 17th overall in the 2020 draft out of Oklahoma.
The question remains: who will Lamb’s long-term quarterback be with Dak Prescott, still working towards an extension with the Cowboys?
Prescott said that he and the Cowboys were “going in the right direction” after the two sides had talked about a potential deal this summer.
Maybe having CeeDee Lamb in the picture long-term, helps the Cowboys lock up Dak Prescott and create success for years to come.
No matter what, Cowboys fans are ecstatic that CeeDee Lamb will be with them for the long term.
