2025 NFL Draft Stock Report: Tyler Warren’s Rise Continues
The NFL Draft is still in the distant future, but the true difference-maker in a player’s draft stock is determined by their on-field performance during the regular season. “But how can I track all the highlights throughout college football each week?”, you may ask. If that is you, you came to the right place!
Each week during the college football season, I will bring to you an NFL Draft Stock Report, sharing the most significant draft information gathered from the previous week’s college football action. As the season goes on, we will focus in on players whose stock is continuously soaring and making a case to be an early to mid-round selection.
As always, be sure to share your thoughts on these prospects in the comment section below, but without further adieu, here are the most notable performances affecting the 2025 NFL Draft landscape from this past week’s action.
Tyler Warren | TE | Penn State
I love the tight ends who can do more than just catch the football, and Warren certainly looks the part of a do-it-all tight end at the next level. He can block at a high level, but what makes Warren special is his high-level athleticism and upside. He is explosive after the catch, and he can high-point the football better than just about any receiving entity in college football. He has been a consistent force all season, but when Penn State was in need of an offensive spark against Minnesota, Warren came up big. Finishing the game with 8 receptions for 102 yards, Warren was clutch in a game which was much closer than expected. He is currently my TE1, slightly above Colston Loveland and Harold Fannin, Jr.
Cody Simon | ILB | Ohio State
I mentioned Simon just a couple weeks ago, but after another standout performance against a top-5 team, I believe we need to revisit his status. Earlier this season, I said, “Simon is a great athlete with plenty of experience and football knowledge, but it has been a slow process putting it all together and turning it into on-field production. If he continues to do the basic well, the splash plays will come in time, and his draft stock will continue to rise.” Well, he has continued to do the basic well, and he is finally reaping the benefits of consistency. In Saturday’s blowout win against Indiana, Simon racked up 10 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 1 forced fumble, displaying top-notch awareness, instincts, and closing speed. He still needs a strong postseason to catapult him into the top-50 pick conversation, but he is sure to get a good look from the NFL after athletic testing has taken place.
Caleb Banks | DT | Florida
Banks is just a junior and has yet to announce whether or not he plans to enter the draft, but if he is leaning toward taking his game to the NFL, he could not be peaking at a better time. For a team with as much turmoil as they have had this season, Florida has a loaded defensive line, and they have been the catalyst for Florida’s back-to-back upset wins. This week against Ole Miss, Caleb Banks continued his recent trend of stellar play, accounting for 4 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 1 batted pass. At 6’6″, 325 pounds, the Detroit native is versatile athlete who could play anything from nose tackle to 5-tehnique in the NFL. He possesses heavy hands, deceptive quickness off the snap, and a disruptive bull rush that has been incredibly effective over the last few games. He is a high-upside option who will likely be a top-64 pick if he indeed declares.
