The Red Raiders must right the ship against North Texas

This game has all the makings of a make-or-break moment for this season. One loss doesn’t doom the program, but how these games are being played has left the fanbase on the precipice of bailing on this squad. Moreover, the team’s belief in themself at risk.

And in comes the Mean Green.

North Texas is on paper, significantly overmatched in this game. Offensively, UNT has looked good against poor opposition, but Texas Tech is more athletic on both sides of the ball. North Texas, in my oh so humble opinion, is a scrappy squad that just is not good. And the Red Raiders have got to make them look like it. It is not good enough just to win this one, this needs to be comfortable.

Texas Tech desperately needs to reset the momentum of this year, inspire the fans to keep showing up, and build some positive tape before opening Big 12 play. One more game like last Saturday, and this season may actually be over. It is only week three, but this is not just a must win. This is a must win comfortably.
