Offensive Player of the Week: Could there be any other?

At this point, this award is just going to be the Tahj Brooks Award. Seriously, I would love for someone else to take the crown. But really? Can anyone make a case that Brooks was not once again the primary engine of this offense? And can anyone make a solid case for anyone else deserving this award more than he does?

He continues to fight through contact and carry the rock over and over for solid yardage every touch. When nothing is there, he finds a way through. Brooks had 24 carries on the night for 182 yards and a TD, for an average of 7.6 per carry. If you removed his longest run, 46 yards, he still averaged 5.9 YPC. And like usual, a lot of his yardage came after contact.

In what was his last home game as a Red Raider almost certainly, he put on one more show for the home crowd to admire. Now, can he do it again against the highly-touted, yet vulnerable, Texas Longhorns?
