Keys to the Kingdom: Arizona

Texas Tech defended their house, but now has to run on the road to Arizona and take on a hot Wildcats team.

Protect Morton

Texas Tech faces an Arizona defensive line that sacked the Utes poor backup three times, and had pressure all night. Behren Morton is prone to getting spooked, and the Red Raiders need to protect him. If the offensive line can hold up, this offense should hum along and Tech should have enough to outduel an Arizona offense not known for their overwhelming firepower.

The secondary gets healthy

I could talk at nauseum about the secondary play. But the real issue is the numerous defensive backs, most importantly Braylon Lux, that we need to pray come back. If the secondary gets healthy, we should see some improvement from the poor performance against Cincinnati at the minimum. And better coverage can trickle down to better pass rush if the easy stuff is taken away.

Find your TEs

Texas Tech offensively has multiple big and skilled tight-ends. But they have got start finding them. Conyers in particular is being drastically underutilized, and this issue has been an issue for years with Kittley. You brought all these dogs in, use them as much as you can.
