Countdown to Kickoff Day 6: Score Score Score

Just like the last article in this countdown (sorry for the spotty days, but life happens) this article is all about scoring. Scoring early, scoring often, just freaking score.

The Red Raiders were a paltry 62nd in scoring offense last season, 63rd in passing offense being a big part of how that happened. Feeding that was the constant injuries at QB (please God let the quarterback power go to die) but the other issue was just bad redzone offense. Texas Tech finished tied for 57th in Redzone offense, a stat that has to improve to flip the script.

With talented transfers on the offensive line and in the receiving corp, Behren Morton (who will hopefully stay healthy *knocks on wood*) should have a productive year. Finishing drives, trusting Morton to attack the middle of the field and vertically, and utilizing your superstar in Brooks are all keys to getting out of the middle-of-the-pack offensively. Hopes are high, the talent is all there, it is just a matter of Coach Kittley managing it.
