I have written a lot about Tahj Brooks, in this countdown and in other articles. Brooks is just too important to tech to not spend a few articles talking about him. He is not only your best player, he is the best player in the Big 12. His health is critical to this team, and God willing he will be healthy enough to shatter the all-time rushing record and win a Big 12 title to boot.

The other side of his game I have not talked about is he is a dominant pass blocker. One of the reasons I believe Valdez has not been able to break out as a third down back with his superior speed and pass catching ability is that Tahj is willing to block big linebackers and safeties. He on occasion will miss a blitzer, but he is not afraid of the contact despite the wear on his body toting the rock as much as he doesn.

Tahj Brooks has a hell of an NFL future ahead of him, it is an absolute honor to get to watch him in the Red and Black for one more season.
