Cotton Club Crew #63: Changing of the Guard
The Red Raiders had their most successful season in recent memory, managing to reach the 8-4 mark with a shot for a 9th win in the bowl game. The issue is the entire staff is undergoing an overhaul. Shortly after news broke that Joey McGuire had decided to move on from Tim DeRuyter, news also broke that Zach Kittley would be leaving to take a head coaching job at FAU.
So going into a critical year four to prove this program is truly turning the corner on mediocrity, Texas Tech will be replacing both coordinators. We know our man on DC, and rumors continue to swirl about the OC. The guys talk about all these names, what it means from the program, who would be the wrong hire, and more. They also break down what 8-4 means for the program, speculate on bowl placement, and even get into what a bowl victory actually means for the program. In a special extended issue the guys cover all this and so much more.
A crazy offseason looms ahead.
