College Football Week 7 Brings Best Slate Of The Season
The College Football season has been as entertaining as possible through six weeks.
There have been constant upsets and close games going down to the wire. That will undoubtedly continue on Saturday as the Week 7 slate is the best of the season thus far.
Below, check out some of the major games to watch on Saturday.
Major Hitters
No. 1 Texas at No. 18 Oklahoma: The Red River Rivalry kicks off at 3:30 between two rivals now in the SEC. Texas has looked like the best team in the nation while Oklahoma will have packed stadium in hopes of beating its rival.
No. 4 Penn State at USC: The Trojans have fallen out of the rankings but the Rose Bowl will be the sight of the first Big Ten meeting between USC and Penn State. The Nittany Lions have been pesky defensively and will go up against Lincoln Riley’s offense.
No. 2 Ohio State at No. 3 Oregon: We already got Georgia and Alabama this season. Now, we get Ohio State and Oregon facing off as top three teams. This will be a telling game for both and one that kicks off at 7:30pm.
No. 9 Ole Miss at No. 13 LSU: You will get another option at 7:30 as Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss take on LSU. Brian Kelly is in need of a statement victory as head coach of the Tigers and this will be a big-time chance.
Lower-Level Jabs
No. 18 Kansas State at Colorado: The Buffaloes continue to be a spectacle because of off-the-field antics but also because of the work of Travis Hunter. He is one of the most dynamic players in college football and has Colorado looking like an improved team this season. Can Deion Sanders lead the team to a major win?
Stanford at No. 11 Notre Dame: On paper, the Irish should cruise in this one but we are talking about a team that lost to Northern Illinois. The Stanford-Notre Dame rivalry is one of the classics in college football.
Cal at No. 22 Pitt: Cal gave Miami all it could handle last week and will hit the road looking for a statement win of its own. If the Panthers are not careful, this could be the spot for one.
No. 11 Iowa State at West Virginia: The Cyclones are also on upset watch this weekend. West Virginia was a trendy spot to open the season when Penn State came to town. This did not come to fruition but there is a big win coming on its home field soon.
