College Football: Best SEC Bets For Week 3
College Football is officially in high gear and that was apparent with multiple close matchups and upsets in Week 2.
The upcoming week has another full slate of action to consider betting on. The SEC remains one of the best conferences in college football and there will be plenty of options.
Below, check out some of the best bets to consider in Week 3.
No. 16 LSU at South Carolina, 12:00pm ET
LSU has not hit its stride yet this season and who knows when it could be coming. With that being said, South Carolina will get Game Day this week and will get LaNorris Sellers going on the ground. A Gamecock defense, led by Dylan Stewart, can give the Tigers fits, despite the play of Garrett Nussmeier. With this game being played at South Carolina, expect it to finish within the number.
Pick: South Carolina +7
No. 24 Boston College at No. 6 Missouri, 12:45pm ET
The hype is there for Missouri. The season began with two straight shutouts during a soft schedule. The Tigers will be tested by the ground game of Boston College, who has crept into the AP Top 25. Brady Cook has been strong. The receivers have played well, led by Theo Wease and Luther Burden. The line says a lot about this game. It can be intimidating to take a number like this but Vegas always knows.
Pick: Missouri -16
No. 5 Ole Miss at Wake Forest, 6:30pm ET
Ole Miss has been one of the most explosive offenses in college football to start. Jaxson Dart and the Rebels are gaining 14.7 yards per pass attempt. That’s an insane number to start. Wake Forest will not be able to sow down the attack of Ole Miss and the offense cannot score to keep it close. This might start out within one score but expect Ole Miss to open it up beginning in the second quarter.
Pick: Ole Miss -23
No. 1 Georgia at Kentucky, 7:30pm ET
It’s a slow week around the nation and this night game does not bring much excitement, especially if you’re a Kentucky fan. The Wildcats just got run over by South Carolina and now welcome the top-ranked team in the country. Georgia has not allowed a touchdown through two games. The Bulldogs are a massive favorite here and it might not be enough.
Pick: Georgia -23
Vanderbilt at Georgia State, 7:00pm ET
This could be a bit of a trap spot for Vanderbilt. It will hit the road for the first time this season ahead SEC matchups with Alabama and Missouri coming up. Also, Vandy has played a little above its head early on. This includes an opening victory against Virginia Tech. The arrow is also pointing down on Georgia Tech but it is not as bad as advertised. This game is being played in Georgia and the home team keeps it close.
Pick: Georgia State +10.5
