The fight is on between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, and it will happen at SummerSlam on Aug. 3 in Cleveland.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made the announcement last night, and he forbade the combatants from attacking each other before the match.

Another interesting aspect of this match is that Seth Rollins will be the special referee. McIntyre won the World title from Rollins at WrestleMania XL before an attack by Punk caused a quick title loss to Senor Money in the Bank, Damien Priest.

THE DRAMA WE LOVE

Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan got into a war of words over the World title and Dominic Mysterio.

Dom finally told Liv to leave him alone, and Morgan burst into tears. This is surprising because it seemed like Liv didn’t really like Dom but was only using him to antagonize Ripley.

IC TITLE MATCH

Also signed for SummerSlam is an Intercontinental title match between Bron Breakker and champion Sami Zayn.

Breakker earned the title match with a win over Ilya Dragunov. Breakker delivered a vicious spear (tackle), and the referee stopped the match.

Sonya DeVille scored another win, beating Lyra Valkyria. Her friend, Zoey Stark, didn’t have as much success. Zelina Vega came into their match with an arm injury but still managed to defeat Stark.

In the main event, Jey Uso & Sami Zayn won a non-title match over tag team champions Finn Balor & JD McDonagh. Breakker attacked Zayn after the match.

The Final Testament (Karrion Kross & The Authors of Pain) defeated Xavier Woods, Otis, and birthday boy Akira Tozawa.

After the match, Gable ordered his new henchmen, Brutus & Julius Creed, to attack former students Otis and Tozawa.

However, Gable left himself open to an attack by “Uncle Howdy” Bo Dallas, who delivered his brother Bray Wyatt’s finisher (Sister Abigail) and hit Bray’s pose as well.

Next week on Raw, Gunther will prepare for his SummerSlam title shot against Damien Priest by facing Priest’s teammate in the Judgment Day, Finn Balor.
