Christopher Daniels Leaves It All in the Ring in Texas Death Match

If that was Christopher Daniels’ last match, then he couldn’t have given anything more to professional wrestling.

“Hangman” Adam Page defeated Daniels last night in a Texas Death match on AEW Collision. This seems to be the final bout in the 33-year career of “The Fallen Angel.”

Both opponents used barbed wire in this bloody battle, and Daniels got the worst of it. Page used a Buckshot Lariat to knock him out for the 10-count.

Daniels competed in the first Ring Of Honor main event in 2002. He also opened the first AEW pay-per-view in 2019.

ELEVEN-MAN TAG MATCH?

Cincinnati’s own Jon Moxley teamed with The Death Riders and Chris Jericho’s Learning Tree squad for what was supposed to be a 12-man tag team match.

However, both factions attacked Powerhouse Hobbs, so he missed most of the match with partners FTR, The Outrunners, and “The Rated-R Superstar” Cope.

Hobbs hobbled out to the ring in the closing moments and hit a spinebuster on “The Bad Apple” Bryan Keith for the win.

NO MORE ACCLAIMED

The Acclaimed tag team broke up after nearly five years. Billy Gunn was unable to broker a truce between Max Caster and Anthony Bowens.

Like The New Day’s breakup in WWE, this team fell apart with hurtful words, not a brawl.

The Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong) beat The Infantry & Lee Moriarty.

Julia Hart defeated Harley Cameron, whom she had blinded with black mist during the Women’s Casino Battle Royale on Dynamite.

Dustin Rhodes scored a quick win over Adam Priest. Rhodes holds the tag team and six-man titles in Ring Of Honor.

GROUNDED FLIGHT

Top Flight had a rough night. They lost to the Murder Machines (Brian Cage & Lance Archer). Then Lio Rush & Action Andretti came out in their poofy Sonic the Hedgehog jackets and beat them up some more.

Kazuchika Okada retained the Continental title with a victory over countryman Tomohiro Ishii. Okada hit the Rainmaker lariat for the win.

Next week on Dynamite, The Hurt Syndicate will challenge Private Party for the AEW tag team title.
