Champ vs. Champ Battles Take Shape on Monday Night Raw

WWE champion Cody Rhodes visited Monday Night Raw to talk with World champion Gunther about their match at Crown Jewel on Nov. 2 in Saudi Arabia.

Their talk was peaceful and respectful. The women’s champions didn’t get along so well.

WWE women’s champion Nia Jax wrapped up the show by sitting on poor World women’s champion Liv Morgan with the Annihilator splash.

This came at the end of the main event match, which saw Rhea Ripley & Tiffany Stratton beat Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez by disqualification.

THIS MEANS WAR

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce set up a tournament to declare No. 1 contenders to Judgment Day’s World tag team title.

The first winners were the War Raiders (Erik & Ivar), who defeated Akira Tozawa & Otis. They somehow stopped being Vikings and reverted to the name they used in New Japan and Ring Of Honor.

The super-team of Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill retained the WWE women’s tag team title. They defeated the Damage CRTL duo of Iyo Sky & Kairi Sane.

Bron Breakker defeated Kofi Kingston, and he talked about regaining the Intercontinental championship from Jey Uso.

R-Truth scored a quick win over former partner The Miz after Karrion Kross and his Final Testament group caused a distraction.

Next week’s Raw will include two more tag team tournament matches. New Day will face the Authors of Pain, while Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee will take on Brutus & Julius Creed.
