Bryan Danielson Receives Challenge and Praise on AEW Collision

Bryan Danielson earned attention and praise on last night’s AEW Collision, and he didn’t even appear on the show!

Color commentator Nigel McGuinness ended the episode with a town hall meeting, demanding that Danielson accept his challenge for Grand Slam Dynamite on Wednesday.

Danielson is the AEW World champion, and he had legendary battles with McGuinness during their time in Ring Of Honor.

Tony Schiavone stepped in and commentated that Danielson was the best wrestler he has ever seen.

Think about that. Schiavone announced the first Starrcade in 1983, and he called Ric Flair’s greatest matches in the NWA and WCW.

Dynamite will feature Darby Allin vs. Jon Moxley for a shot at the AEW World title, but we still don’t know if we are getting Danielson vs. Nigel.

GIVE ME YOUR BEST

Allin prepared for the Moxley match by facing Evil Uno of the Dark Order. Allin challenged Uno to bring his strongest fight, which Uno did. Darby still won the match with the Coffin Drop.

Mariah May, the AEW women’s champion, defeated Lady Frost in a non-title match with the Storm Zero piledriver.

Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara retained the ROH tag team title in a Bunkhouse Brawl over The Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett).

Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly & Hologram beat The Premiere Athletes when Briscoe put away Josh Woods with the Jay Driller piledriver.

Roderick Strong, Rush, The Beast Mortos, & Grizzled Young Veterans won the All-Star 10-Man main event over FTR, Hook & The Outrunners.

Serena Deeb defeated Queen Aminata and issued a challenge to Dr. Britt Baker for the Dynamite 5th Anniversary. That show will take place on Oct. 2 in Baker’s hometown of Pittsburgh.
