Bryan Danielson Keeps Title and Career, But Loses Friends at AEW All Out

Bryan Danielson is going to keep wrestling as long as he hangs onto the AEW World title.

But wrestling history shows us that it’s hard for the World champion to hang onto his friends.

Last night at the All Out pay-per-view in Chicago, Danielson retained his title with a win over Jack Perry.

His friends in the Blackpool Combat Club (along with Pac) came to the ring to prevent Christian from cashing in his title shot.

Suddenly, Claudio Castagnoli attacked Danielson from behind. Jon Moxley tried to suffocate the champion with a plastic bag. The fans chanted “This is murder!”

Wheeler Yuta was not in on the plot. He tried to help Danielson, but Pac stopped him. Medical staff gave Danielson oxygen after the attack.

Earlier in the night, Castagnoli & Yuta lost in a tag team title match against the Young Bucks.

But remember, the BCC still holds the AEW trios championships with Claudio, Yuta, and Pac. Someone should start a “This is awkward” chant.

MORE VIOLENCE?

After burning down Swerve Strickland’s childhood home, “Hangman” Adam Page capped off the week by defeating Swerve in a steel cage match.

These two broke the “violence meter” as usual, using barbed wire, a staple gun, a cinder block, and even a piece of Swerve’s house.

Hangman finally used a syringe on Swerve’s face before knocking him out with a chair shot for the victory.

The ladies brought the violence as well. Kris Statlander defeated Willow Nightingale in a Chicago Street Fight by choking her out with a chain.

IT’S GOOD TO BE CHAMP

No championships changed hands at All Out. Mercedes Mone hung onto the TBS title, defeating Hikaru Shida with the Mone Maker slam.

Kazuchika Okada retained the Continental championship, winning a four-way match over Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, and Konosuka Takeshita.

Will Ospreay defeated Pac in an amazing match to hang onto the International title. Later, Ospreay challenged Ricochet to step into contention for his belt.

MJF won the opener over his archrival, Daniel Garcia. However, Garcia attacked him after the match and gave him a piledriver.
