Browns vs. Steelers Week 12 preview

On Thursday November 21st, the 2-8 Cleveland Browns will host the 8-2 Pittsburgh Steelers at Huntington Bank Field for Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime. The Cleveland Browns are coming off a road loss to the New Orleans Saints 35-14. The Steelers just had a big win at home against the Baltimore Ravens 18-16. The weather for this game will be a factor. The forecast is saying to expect a mix of rain and snow with a game time temperature of 34 degrees Fahrenheit. That might be an equalizer in this game.

The 2024 season has been disappointing for the Cleveland Browns with a 2-8 record. Rumblings are starting to pick up of the head coach Kevin Stefanski to be replaced. This might be a must win game for him and the Browns. For the Steelers they are leading the AFC North Division with an 8-2 record. And the Russell Wilson experiment is working for them. With the game being in Cleveland, on a short week, and in bad weather anything can happen.

I have yet to see an official injury report. But for the Browns they lost their promising young left tackle Dewand Jones to a fractured ankle injury. Rookie defensive tackle Michael Hall junior was out for the Saints game with a knee injury and could end up on injured reserve. And linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is still on injured reserve with his neck injury. The Steelers are missing linebacker Alex Highsmith and guard Max Scharping. It is that time of the season when NFL teams have injuries pile up on them. With the short week and not having to travel could be an advantage for the Cleveland Browns in this game. At this point, this team could use all the help it can get.
