Bret Hart Returns to WWE on Monday Night Raw in Calgary
Canadian hero Bret Hart returned to the WWE last night in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta on Monday Night Raw.
Gunther came out to talk about various World champions, and he told Bret that his favorite champion was Bill Goldberg.
Goldberg ended Bret’s career with a kick to the head at Starrcade 99.
Sami Zayn came out to spread more Canadian love and demand a title match with Gunther. He said no, again.
Bret’s niece, Natalya, also returned to WWE. She teamed with Lyra Valkyria & Zelina Vega to defeat Pure Fusion Collective (Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark & Sonya DeVille).
Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair retained the WWE women’s tag team belts by defeating former champs Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn.
NOW WE’VE GOT BAD BLOOD
Drew McIntyre will battle CM Punk in a Hell in a Cell match at the Bad Blood pay-per-view on Oct. 5. This will be the 31st anniversary of the first Cell match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker at the original Bad Blood PPV.
Also at Bad Blood, Liv Morgan will defend the World women’s title against Rhea Ripley.
Jey Uso earned an Intercontinental title match by winning a four-way match over Pete Dunne, Braun Strowman and Ilja Dragunov. Bronson Reed showed up and put Strowman through a table.
Uncle Howdy’s Wyatt Sicks faction won an eight-person street fight over Chad Gable’s American Made team. Dexter Lumis pinned Gable after a top-rope splash.
Dominick Mysterio beat Dragon Lee, while papa Rey Misterio defeated Finn Balor by disqualification.
The best news of the night? Raw is going from three hours back to two hours starting on Oct. 7. Three hours is way too long for a weekly wrestling show.
