WWE Smackdown: Roman Reigns Enters His Name in Royal Rumble

Now that Roman Reigns has the Tribal Chief title back, he wants to regain the WWE title as well.

Reigns didn’t even appear on Smackdown to say this, as his “Wiseman” Paul Heyman did the talking for him.

Heyman was talking to Cody Rhodes when Kevin Owens appeared in the crowd. Of course, that led to a brawl.

The Bloodline 2.0 came out to threaten Heyman, and Jimmy Uso made the save.

Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis kicked Fatu out of the building, with help from LA Knight. Remember that for later.

In the main event, Fatu & Tama Tonga beat Cody Rhodes & Jimmy Uso. Cody left the ring to fight Owens again, and Fatu hit a moonsault on Jimmy for the pin.

US TITLE BOUTS

Chelsea Green retained the women’s US title in the opening match with a win over Michin.

Knight tried to regain the men’s version of the title from Shinsuke Nakamura. Unfortunately, Fatu returned to the building and attacked him.

Knight won by disqualification, but he did not win the US title.

TAG TEAM BATTLES

Aldis set up a pair of matches for four teams that want a shot at #DIY’s WWE tag team title. Los Garza (Angel & Berto) defeated Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince).

Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) won the other bout over A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Greyson Waller).

That means Los Garza will face the Machine Guns next week for a shot at #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa).

TIFFY TURMOIL

Tiffany Stratton came out to brag about winning the WWE women’s title. Soon, the ring filled with potential challengers.

Aldis called for a No. 1 contenders match. Bayley defeat Nia Jax, Naomi, and Bianca Belair. Bayley will get her title match next week.
