Bobby Lashley Arrives in AEW to Attack Swerve Strickland
Bobby Lashley is the latest former WWE champion to make the jump to All Elite Wrestling.
Last night on Fright Night Dynamite in Cleveland, Swerve Strickland defeated Shelton Benjamin in the main event.
Benjamin’s manager, MVP, pulled out his phone and made a call. Lashley came out to attack Strickland.
Lashley, Benjamin, and MVP should have been a bigger deal as the Hurt Business faction in WWE. We’ll see how they fare in AEW, where they will be called the Hurt Syndicate.
RELUCTANT LEADER
Orange Cassidy usually doesn’t care about much. But after watching his friend Chuck Taylor get hurt, he finally stood up to Jon Moxley and his crew.
Cassidy will challenge Moxley for the AEW World title at the Full Gear pay-per-view on Nov. 23 in New Jersey.
A PRIVATE PARTY DON’T STOP
Private Party won the AEW World tag team championship from the Young Bucks.
If Zay & Quen had lost, they would have had to break up, just like Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian did three years ago.
Adam Cole fought through a knee injury to defeat Buddy Matthews. Cole must face Malakai Black next on his way to facing MJF at Full Gear.
Kyle Fletcher welcomed back his Aussie Open tag team partner, Mark Davis, who wasn’t pleased with Fletcher’s recent actions. Fletcher said Davis would have to decide whether to join him in the Don Callis Family.
Kris Statlander defeated Kamille with the Night Fever piledriver, only to be attacked after match by Kamille’s boss (CEO) Mercedes Mone. That match for the TBS title is also likely for Full Gear.
