Solo Sikoa will have a chance to become WWE champion at SummerSlam, and his Bloodline group is making life miserable for current titleholder Cody Rhodes.

Last week, the Bloodline injured Cody’s friend, Randy Orton, by putting him through a table. The Samoan family did the same thing to Rhodes at the end of Smackdown.

In the main event, Rhodes was teaming with Kevin Owens against former tag team champions A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller).

Rhodes won the match with the Cross Rhodes neckbreaker, but then The Bloodline hit the ring. They neutralized Owens before putting Rhodes through a table with the Triple Powerbomb.

By using the same move as The Shield, The Bloodline seems to be daring Roman Reigns to come back. Reigns debuted as a member of The Shield in 2011 with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose (now known as Jon Moxley in AEW).

WAR FOR THE WOMEN’S TITLE

WWE women’s champion Bayley is also gearing up for her SummerSlam title defense against Nia Jax. She also is keeping her eye on Tiffany Stratton.

Miss Money in the Bank had a rough night. Not only did she lose to Michin, but Bayley also destroyed her MITB briefcase.

Speaking of MITB, two of the competitors in the men’s ladder match had a great match in the opener. Andrade defeated Carmelo Hayes with The Message (hammerlock DDT).

Logan Paul and LA Knight had a war of words to preview their SummerSlam match for Paul’s US title.

Bianca Belair scored a quick win over Chelsea Green.

Next week’s Smackdown will feature a five-team gauntlet match for a shot at the WWE tag team title held by #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa).
