Around the NFC West: Week 4

Geno Smith threw for 395 yards but it was not enough as the Seattle Seahawks lost 42-29 to the Detroit Lions. He spread the ball around to 10 different pass catchers led by DK Metcalf who caught seven passes for 104 yards. Kenneth Walker III led the way on the ground with 80 yards and three touchdowns. The Seahawks host the New York Giants in week five.

The San Francisco 49ers got back on track with a 30-13 win over the New England Patriots. It was another big day on the ground for Jordan Mason who rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown. Jauan Jennings had another big game with three catches for 88 yards. This time it came with everyone healthy for the 49ers on offense. Jennings is really carving out a role for himself in this offense. The 49ers take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Speaking of the Cardinals, they got boat raced by the Washington Commanders 42-14. Kyler Murray threw for 142 yards and a touchdown. James Conner rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown. The real problem for Arizona here was the defense. They gave up 449 yards to Jayden Daniels and the Commanders offense. It is tough to win when you do that.

The Los Angeles Rams dropped to 1-3 with their 24-18 loss to the Chicago Bears. The Rams’ offense is struggling to find their footing without Puca Nacua and Cooper Kupp. Matthew Stafford threw for 224 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. Kyren Williams did have a pretty good game on the ground rushing for 94 yards and a touchdown. He also added four catches but they only went for ten yards. The Rams play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
