Around the NFC West: Week 13
It was a third straight win for the Seattle Seahawks 26-21 over the New York Jets on Sunday. Geno Smith was efficient throwing for 206 yards and a touchdown. Jaxon Smith-Njigba continued his second-year success with four catches for 74 yards. Seattle also got four catches for 66 yards in the win. The Seahawks defense held Aaron Rodgers to just 185 yards passing on the day. The Seahawks take on the Arizona Cardinals in week 14.
Speaking of the Cardinals, they lost 23-22 to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Kyler Murray threw for 260 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. His favorite target was tight end Trey McBride who caught 12 passes for 96 yards. Rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. added five catches for 60 yards and a touchdown. Those two will be wreaking havoc on defenses for years to come.
The Los Angeles Rams got back to .500 with their 21-14 win over the New Orleans Saints. Matthew Stafford threw for 183 yards with two touchdowns. Puka Nacua led the way for the receivers with five catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. Kyren Williams had a big game with 15 carries for 104 yards and a touchdown. The Rams host the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
It was a tough night for the San Francisco 49ers when they lost 35-10 to the Bills in snowy Buffalo. The biggest thing that came out of this game for the 49ers was that they lost both Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason to injuries. It is likely that both guys will miss the remainder of the regular season. Brock Purdy had a tough night throwing for just 94 yards in the loss. The 49ers will play the Chicago Bears this week.
