Around the NFC South: Week 9
Kirk Cousins threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns as the Atlanta Falcons beat the Dallas Cowboys 27-21. Bijan Robinson accounted for 145 yards from scrimmage but it was Tyler Allgeier who got the rushing touchdown in this one. Darnell Mooney worked as the WR1 after an injury to Drake London and had five catches for 88 yards and a touchdown. The Falcons travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints in week 10.
Speaking of the Saints, they lost their seventh straight game 23-22 to the Carolina Panthers. Derek Carr had a rough game in his return from injury going 18 of 31 for 236 yards and a touchdown. Alvin Kamara had a massive game with 155 yards rushing and 60 yards receiving. Taysom Hill had five carries and four catches and scored a rushing touchdown. For the Panthers, Bryce Young was not great throwing for 171 yards with a touchdown and an interception but it was good enough for the win. Chuba Hubbard, who got a big contract extension, ran for 72 yards and two touchdowns. The Panthers travel to Germany to play the New York Giants on Sunday.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost their third straight 30-24 to the Kansas City Chiefs. Baker Mayfield threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns. Cade Otton was his favorite target catching eight passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. Things do not get any easier for the Bucs as they take on the San Francisco 49ers in week 10.
