Around the NFC South: Week 10
Everyone left the New Orleans Saints for dead, but they rallied around their interim head coach Darren Rizzi to knock off the Atlanta Falcons 20-17. Derek Carr threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns. Both touchdowns went to Marquez Valdes-Scantling who caught three passes for 109 yards on the day. Alvin Karma also added 99 yards from scrimmage. For the Falcons, Bijan Robinson totaled 144 yards from scrimmage and scored two rushing touchdowns. Kirk Cousins threw for 306 yards and an interception. The Saints play the Cleveland Browns in week 11 while the Falcons play the Denver Broncos.
Baker Mayfield threw for 116 yards and a touchdown in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-20 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The Buccaneers offense is lacking the explosive pieces of their offense and it is starting to show up. Mayfield averaged just four yards per attempt in this one. Bucky Irving led the Buccaneers backfield with 13 carries for 73 yards. The Bucs have their bye in week 11.
Don’t look now, but Bryce Young has led the Carolina Panthers to back-to-back wins. This week they got a 20-17 win over the New York Giants. Young threw for 126 yards and a touchdown. The real star of the game for the Panthers offense was Chuba Hubbard who rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown. Carolina also has a bye this week.
