Around the NFC North: Week 9
The Detroit Lions won their sixth straight 24-14 over the Detroit Lions. Jared Goff threw for 145 yards and a touchdown. That touchdown was caught by Amon-Ra St. Brown who had seven catches for 56 yards. The Lions racked up 124 yards rushing on the day with Jahmyr Gibbs finding the end zone. For the Packers, Jordan Love battled through his injury to throw for 273 yards with zero touchdowns and an interception. Jayden Reed had a big day with five catches for 113 yards. The Lions take on the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football in week 10. The Packers have their bye.
Sam Darnold threw for 290 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions as the Minnesota Vikings beat the Indianapolis Colts 21-13. Justin Jefferson caught seven passes for 137 yards in the win. Minnesota was able to put the game away late with their rushing attack that gained 133 yards on 32 carries. The Vikings play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
The Chicago Bears lost their second straight 29-9 to the Arizona Cardinals. Caleb Williams struggled going 22 of 41 for 217 yards. Rome Odunze led the way for the Bears receivers with five catches for 104 yards. Chicago’s defense got gashed by the Cardinals rushing attack giving up 213 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. The Bears host the New England Patriots this week.
