Around the NFC North: Week 7
The Detroit Lions handed the Minnesota Vikings their first loss of the season 31-29 on Sunday. Jared Goff continued his outstanding play going 22 of 25 for 280 yards and two touchdowns. Detroit also got two rushing touchdowns from Jahmyr Gibbs. He finished the day with 160 total yards. Amon-Ra St. Brown led the Lions receivers with eight catches for 112 yards and a touchdown. For the Vikings, Sam Darnold threw for 259 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Justin Jefferson led the way with seven catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. Aaron Jones has a big day on the ground averaging 6.6 yards per carry and scoring a touchdown. The Lions take on the Tennessee Titans next week while the Vikings play the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night.
It was a third straight win for the Green Bay Packers 24-22 over the Houston Texans. Jordan Love threw for 220 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. One of those two touchdowns went to Josh Jacobs. It was the first receiving touchdown of his career. Jacobs racked up 92 yards from scrimmage in the win. Romeo Doubs had eight catches for 94 yards and a touchdown. The Packers travel to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars next week.
The Chicago Bears had their bye this week and play the Arizona Cardinals next week.
