Around the NFC North: Week 7

The Atlanta Falcons saw their three-game win streak come to an end when they lost 34-14 to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Bijan Robinson had a big game in the loss with 143 total yards and a touchdown. Things were not as good for Kirk Cousins who threw two interceptions. Drake London caught a touchdown for the third straight week. The Falcons play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week eight.

Speaking of the Buccaneers, they had a tough 41-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night. They lost both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin to injury in the game. Godwin suffered a season-ending injury. Evans’s injury is not as serious, but he might still miss some time. Baker Mayfield racked up 370 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Rachaad White had 111 total yards and two receiving touchdowns.

Decimated by injuries, the New Orleans Saints lost 33-10 to the Denver Broncos on Thursday night. Spencer Rattler drew the start at quarterback and threw for 176 yards. He was sacked six times. Alvin Kamara had a tough night rushing for just 10 yards on seven carries. The Saints will hope to get Derek Carr, Chris Olave, and Taysom Hill back for their week eight game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Carolina Panthers dropped their fourth straight 40-7 to the Washington Commanders despite knocking Jayden Daniels out of the game in the first quarter. The Panthers would be wise to go back to Bryce Young soon after Andy Dalton’s 93-yard two interception performance. Young did come in at the end of this game. He completed both of his pass attempts but they went for -4 yards. Chuba Hubbard did find the end zone and rushed for 52 yards in the loss. The Panthers will take on the Broncos this Sunday.
