Around the NFC North: Week 5

The Minnesota Vikings continue to be one of the most surprising stories for the 2024 NFL season. They improved to 5-0 with their 23-17 win over the New York Jets in London on Sunday. Their defense was outstanding once again. They picked off Aaron Rodgers three times and sacked him three times as well. On offense, Justin Jefferson led the way with six catches for 92 yards. The Vikings have their bye in week six.

Matt LaFleur got the better of his old boss Sean McVay on Sunday when the Green Bay Packers beat the Los Angeles Rams 24-19. Jordan Love threw for 224 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Tucker Kraft led the way on the receiving side with four catches for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Josh Jacobs rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown. The Packers host the Arizona Cardinals in week six.

Caleb Williams had the best game of his rookie season throwing for 304 yards and two touchdowns in the Chicago Bears’ 36-10 win over the Carolina Panthers. DJ Moore, who the Bears invested in long-term this offseason, had a really nice day with five catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns. The Chicago defense racked up four sacks in the win. The Bears take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in week six.

The Detroit Lions had their bye in week five.
