Around the NFC North: Week 4

Sam Darnold continued his great start to the 2024 season and led the Minnesota Vikings to a 31-29 win over the Green Bay Packers. Darnold threw for 275 yards and three touchdowns. He spread the ball around to eight different pass catchers. Justin Jefferson caught six balls for 85 yards and a touchdown. Aaron Jones was really good once again with 139 total yards. For the Packers, Jordan Love returned after missing two games with a knee injury. He got off to a slow start but nearly led Green Bay to a come from behind win. Love finished the day throwing for 389 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions. Jayden Reed was happy to see Love back in the lineup. He had seven catches for 139 yards and a touchdown. Dontayvion Wicks chipped in 78 yards and two touchdowns receiving. The Vikings will take on the New York Jets in London during week 5. The Packers head to Los Angeles to take on the Rams.

The Detroit Lions got an 18 for 18 performance from quarterback Jared Goff in their 42-29 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Goff threw two touchdowns including a 70-yard bomb to Jameson Williams. The Lions got three rushing touchdowns – two from Jahmyr Gibbs and one from David Montgomery in the win. The Lions have their bye week in week five.

Caleb Williams still was not great, but he did lead the Chicago Bears to a 24-18 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Williams finished the day 17 of 23 for 157 yards and one touchdown. De’Andre Swift was the MVP for the Bears in this one with 165 yards and a touchdown. The Bears host the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
