Around the NFC North: Week 17
The NFC North comes down to a week 18 Sunday Night Football game between the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings. The winner will win the division and be the number one seed in the NFC Playoffs. To get here, the Lions got a 40-34 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. Jared Goff threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns. Jahmyr Gibbs had 143 total yards and a rushing touchdown in the win. Jameson Williams found the end zone twice – once on a hook and ladder and once on a reverse.
The Vikings got a big win over the Green Bay Packers 27-25 on Sunday. Sam Darnold threw for 377 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. The Vikings are going to have a very interesting decision to make with Darnold this offseason. Justin Jefferson led the way for the receivers with eight catches for 92 yards. For the Packers, Jordan Love threw for 185 yards and a touchdown. Green Bay got two rushing touchdowns – one from Josh Jacobs and one from Emanuel Wilson. They will wrap up their regular season against the Chicago Bears.
Speaking of the Bears, it was a tenth straight loss 6-3 to the Seattle Seahawks. The biggest thing for Chicago this offseason is finding the right coach to lead Caleb Williams and the offense. They have plenty of talent on that side of the ball. Williams threw for just 122 yards and an interception in the loss.
