Around the NFC North: Week 15
The Detroit Lions lost for the first time since September 48-42 to the Buffalo Bills. The Lions fell behind early, and it forced them to play catch-up for the rest of the day. Jared Goff was fantastic in that role throwing for 494 yards and five touchdowns. Amon-Ra St. Brown had a massive day with 14 catches for 193 yards and a touchdown. The biggest story from this game was the injuries Detroit suffered including a season-ending injury to David Montgomery. The Lions will look to get back on track against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Speaking of the Bears, they lost 30-12 to the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. Caleb Williams threw for 191 yards and a touchdown in the loss. His favorite target was Keenan Allen who had six catches for 82 yards and a touchdown. For the Vikings, Sam Darnold threw for 231 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison combined for 14 catches for 133 yards and a touchdown by Jefferson. The win pulled the Vikings into a tie with the Lions atop the division. The Vikings travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in week 16.
The Green Bay Packers improved to 10-4 with their 30-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Jordan Love threw for 229 yards with two touchdowns. Josh Jacobs continued his success in his first year with the Packers with 94 yards rushing, 42 yards receiving, and a rushing touchdown. Green Bay’s defense sacked Seattle’s quarterbacks seven times and intercepted them twice. The Packers play the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football this week.
