Around the NFC East: Week 5

It was a fourth straight win for the Washington Commanders on Sunday with their 34-13 win over the Cleveland Browns. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels continued his great start to the season throwing for 238 yards and rushing for 82 against a really good defense. Terry McLaurin had four catches for 112 yards including a 66-yard catch. The Commanders’ defense piled up seven sacks on the afternoon. Washington faces a tough Baltimore Ravens team in week six.

The Dallas Cowboys got a late touchdown to edge the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-17 on Sunday Night Football. Dak Prescott threw for 352 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Rico Dowdle, who has taken over as RB1 in Dallas, carried the ball 20 times for 87 yards. The Cowboys defense sacked Justin Fields three times in the win. The Cowboys host the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

The Philadelphia Eagles had their bye in week five and will take on the Browns in week six.

Tyrone Tracy ran for 129 yards in the New York Giants’ surprising 29-20 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Playing without star rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers did not slow the Giants offense down in this one. Darius Slayton stepped up and caught eight passes for 122 yards and a touchdown. Daniel Jones threw for 257 yards with two touchdowns on the afternoon. The Giants play the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Night Football this week.
