Around the NFC East: Week 3

The Washington Commanders got an impressive 38-33 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. Jayden Daniels had a spectacular night throwing for 254 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 39 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He completed 91% of his passes. It was one of the greatest performances by a rookie quarterback in NFL history. Terry McLaurin had a huge night with four catches for 100 yards and a touchdown. The Commanders take on the Arizona Cardinals in week four.

It was not pretty, but the Philadelphia Eagles improved to 2-1 on the young season with a 15-12 win over the New Orleans Saints. Saquon Barkley had another huge game with 17 carries for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Dallas Goedert had a renaissance of sorts with 10 catches for 170 yards. Jalen Hurts also threw for 311 yards in the win. The Philadelphia defense held the Saints to just 89 yards on the ground. The Eagles travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers on Sunday.

The New York Giants got their first win of the season when they went to Cleveland and beat the Browns 21-15 on Sunday. Malik Nabers is a star. He had eight catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns in this one. Daniel Jones had a very efficient game throwing for 236 yards and those two touchdowns. The Giants’ defense showed up sacking Deshaun Watson eight times on the afternoon. The Giants play the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football this week.

Speaking of the Cowboys, they had no answer for Derrick Henry when they lost to the Baltimore Ravens at home 28-25. They gave up 151 yards and two touchdowns to Henry. Dak Prescott tried his best to get the Cowboys a win throwing for 379 yards and two touchdowns but it was not enough. Dallas needs to find some balance on offense as they only rushed for 51 yards on 16 carries here.
