Around the NFC East: Week 17

The Philadelphia Eagles improved to 13-3 with their 41-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys. Kenny Pickett got the start for the injured Jalen Hurts. Pickett suffered an injury of his own in the game and was replaced by Tanner McKee who threw the ball just four times. Two of those four went for touchdowns. Saquon Barkley went over the 2,000-yard rushing mark with his 167-yard performance in the win. Barkley is just the ninth running back in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards. He needs 101 yards in week 18 to set the single-season rushing record currently held by Eric Dickerson at 2,105. For the Cowboys, Rico Dowdle carried the ball 23 times for 104 yards. That was truly their only performance of note. The Eagles wrap up their season with the New York Giants next week while the Cowboys will play the Washington Commanders.

Speaking of the Commanders, they clinched a playoff spot with their 30-24 overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football. Jayden Daniels cemented his case for Offensive Rookie of the Year when he threw for 227 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another 127 yards. Olamide Zaccheaus led the receivers with eight catches for 85 yards and a touchdown. Zach Ertz also shipped in two touchdowns in the win.

The New York Giants pulled off their first win since October when they beat the Indianapolis Colts 45-33. The win knocked the Giants out of the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. While most things have gone horribly wrong for the Giants this year, Malik Nabers has been a bright spot. He had seven catches for 171 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
