Around the AFC West: Week 4

It’s the Kansas City Chiefs world in the AFC West. Everyone else is just living there. The Chiefs improved to 4-0 with a 17-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Patrick Mahomes had another pretty boring day in the win. He threw for 245 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Travis Kelce had his best game of the young season catching seven passes for 89 yards. The only bad thing for the Chiefs was the injury to Rashee Rice. For the Chargers, Justin Herbert threw for 179 yards and a touchdown. Herbert is clearly still hampered by the ankle injury he has been fighting through the last couple of weeks. Rookie WR Ladd McConkey led Chargers’ receivers with five catches for 67 yards. The Chiefs play the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football this week while the Chargers have their bye week.

The Las Vegas Raiders got back on track in week four with a 20-16 win over the Cleveland Browns. Playing without Davante Adams who has since requested a trade, they threw for just 116 yards in the win. Jakobi Meyers led the way with five catches for 49 yards. Their lone offensive touchdown came on a three-yard rush from Tre Tucker. They did get a scoop and score early in the third quarter. The Raiders travel to Denver to take on the Broncos in week 5.

Speaking of the Broncos, they won an ugly game against the New York Jets 10-9. Bo Nix lit the world on fire with his 60 passing yards in the win! It is clear the Broncos’ game plan for the rest of the year will be to run the ball and play defense. That worked for them this week. Can they pull it off against the Raiders next week?
