It was a fifth straight win for the Kansas City Chiefs 27-19 over the Houston Texans. Patrick Mahomes threw for 260 yards and a touchdown. Rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy was his favorite target catching seven passes for 65 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs defense held Joe Mixon to just 57 yards rushing. The Chiefs travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers on Christmas.
The Los Angeles Chargers got a huge 34-27 win over the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football. Justin Herbert was fantastic throwing for 284 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Gus Edwards rushed for just 68 yards, but he did find the end zone twice in the win. Rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey led all pass catchers with six catches for 87 yards. For the Broncos, you cannot blame the loss on Bo Nix. He threw for 263 yards with two touchdowns and did not turn the ball over. He spread the ball around to ten different receivers on the night. Cortland Sutton and Marvin Mims Jr. combined for 8 catches for 112 yards. The Chargers will play the New England Patriots in week 17. The Broncos will take on the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Las Vegas Raiders snapped their ten-game losing streak with their 19-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Rookie tight end Brock Bowers had eleven catches for 99 yards. He became the first rookie tight end to ever catch 100 passes in a season. Aidan O’Connell threw for 257 yards in the win. The Raiders travel to New Orleans to play the Saints this week.
