Around the AFC West: Week 14

The Kansas City Chiefs did it again. What did they do again? Well, for starters they won another one-score game 19-17 over the Los Angeles Chargers. They also won the AFC West for the ninth straight year. This win came when Matthew Wright doinked in a 31-yard field goal as time expired. Patrick Mahomes threw for 210 yards and one touchdown. He spread the ball around to eight different pass catchers in the win. For the Chargers, Justin Herber threw for 213 yards and a touchdown. Herbert has not thrown an interception since the Eisenhower administration. Joshua Palmer led the receivers with six catches for 78 yards. The Chiefs travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns on Sunday while the Chargers host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It was a ninth straight loss for the Las Vegas Raiders 28-13 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Aidan O’Connell threw for 104 yards and an interception before having to leave the game because of an injury. Desmond Ridder replaced him and threw for 101 yards. It was a slow day for rookie tight end Brock Bowers who had just three catches for 49 yards. The Raiders play the Falcons on Monday Night Football in week 14.

The Denver Broncos had their bye in week 14 and will play the Indianapolis Colts this week.
