Around the AFC West: Week 11
The Kansas City Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season when they fell 31-20 to the Buffalo Bills. Patrick Mahomes threw for 196 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. The Chiefs are still having a problem finding a rhythm on offense. Xavier Worthy did have a good game with four catches for 61 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs travel to Carolina to take on the Panthers on Sunday.
The Chargers won their fourth straight 24-27 over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Night Football. It was a huge night for Justin Herbert who threw for 297 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 65 yards. J.K. Dobbins added two rushing touchdowns. Rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey had six catches for 123 yards. The Chargers play the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football this week.
Bo Nix was fantastic in the Denver Broncos’ 38-6 win over the Atlanta Falcons. He threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns. Courtland Sutton caught seven passes for 78 yards. Javonte Williams led the Denver running backs with nine carries for 59 yards and a touchdown. The Broncos play the Las Vegas Raiders in week 12.
Speaking of the Raiders, they lost their sixth straight game 34-19 to the Miami Dolphins. The lone bright spot in the loss was rookie tight end Brock Bowers. He caught 13 passes for 126 yards and a touchdown. Bowers looks like he is on his way to becoming a star in this league.
