Around the AFC South: Week 7

It was a tough day for the Houston Texans passing game in their 24-22 loss to the Green Bay Packers. C.J. Stroud threw for just 86 yards in the loss. They did get a big day from Joe Mixon who ran for 115 yards and scored two touchdowns. Stefon Diggs hauled in five catches but they went for only 23 yards. The Texans take on the Indianapolis Colts in week seven.

Speaking of the Colts, they won 16-10 over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Anthony Richardson returned after missing three games. He threw for 129 yards and ran for 54 in the win. The Colts’ lone touchdown came on a Tyler Goodson seven-yard rush. The Indianapolis defense gave up a touchdown on the second drive of the game but really shut the Dolphins offense down after that holding them to zero points in the second half.

The Jacksonville Jaguars got their second win of the season 23-16 over the New England Patriots in London. Tank Bigsby had a huge day with 118 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Trevor Lawrence was efficient throwing for 193 yards and a touchdown in the win. Brian Thomas Jr. was his favorite target with five catches for 89 yards and a touchdown. The Jaguars host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

Mason Rudolph got the start for the injured Will Levis, but it did not help the Tennessee Titans’ offense in their 34-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Rudolph threw for 215 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Tony Pollard rushed for 61 yards in the loss. Nine different guys caught passes for the Titans, but the leader, Chig Okonkwo, had just 50 yards receiving. The Titans travel to Detroit to take on the Lions in week seven.
