Around the AFC South: Week 17
It was a tough Christmas for the Houston Texans when they lost 31-2 to the Baltimore Ravens. C.J. Stroud threw for 185 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. Nico Collins led the receivers with three catches for 59 yards. The Texans were able to manage just 58 yards rushing in the loss. They wrap up their season against the Tennessee Titans in week 18.
Speaking of the Titans, they lost their fifth straight 20-13 to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Mason Rudolph threw for 193 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Tyjae Spears carried the ball 20 times for 95 yards before leaving with a concussion. Calvin Ridley had five catches for 84 yards in the loss. For the Jaguars, Mac Jones threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns. Rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas had seven catches for 91 yards. Thomas might be having the quietest 1,100-yard season for a rookie ever. The Jaguars finish their season against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
The Colts blew their playoff chances with a 45-33 loss to the New York Giants. Joe Flacco started for the injured Anthony Richardson and threw for 330 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Jonathan Taylor rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Alec Pierce and Michael Pittman combined for 15 catches for 231 yards and two touchdowns.
