Around the AFC South: Week 16
The Houston Texans lost 27-19 to the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. C.J. Stroud threw for 244 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Tank Dell was having a nice day with six catches for 98 yards before suffering a brutal knee injury that ended his season. Nico Collins caught seven passes for 60 yards. The Texans take on the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas Day.
Jonathan Taylor ran for 218 yards and three touchdowns in the Indianapolis Colts 38-30 win over the Tennessee Titans. It took Anthony Richardson just 11 passes to lead his team to 38 points. Richardson finished the day with 131 yards passing and 70 yards rushing. For the Titans, Mason Rudolph took over as the starting quarterback replacing Will Levis. Rudolph threw for 252 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. Chig Okonkwo had his best day of the year with nine catches for 81 yards. The Colts can still make the playoffs with wins in their last two games and some help. They play the New York Giants in week 17 while the Titans play the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Speaking of the Jaguars, they lost 19-14 to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Mac Jones threw for 247 yards and a touchdown. Rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. had another huge game with nine catches for 132 yards and a touchdown.
