Around the AFC South: Week 15

The Houston Texans improved to 9-5 with their 20-12 win over the Miami Dolphins. C.J. Stroud threw for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Nico Collins caught both touchdowns although he only had four catches for 17 yards on the day. Joe Mixon was also held in check carrying the ball 12 times for 23 yards. Houston clinched their second straight AFC South title with their win. The Texans take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday this week.

It was a tough day for Anthony Richardson who threw for just 172 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in the Indianapolis Colts’ 31-13 loss to the Denver Broncos. Jonathan Taylor had 22 carries for 107 yards. He also had a touchdown taken away because he dropped the ball before he crossed the goal line. The Colts host the Tennessee Titans in week 16.

Speaking of the Titans, they lost 37-27 to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Will Levis was benched after his third interception of the game. He also lost a fumble. Mason Rudolph replaced him and threw for 209 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. The lone bright spot of the day for Tennessee was Tyjae Spears who scored two touchdowns – one rushing and one receiving.

The Jacksonville Jaguars lost 32-25 to the New York Jets. Rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. had a nice day catching 10 passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Mac Jones threw for 294 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. The Jaguars travel to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders on Sunday.
