Around the AFC North: Week 5

The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals played one of the most entertaining games of the season in week five. In the end, it was the Ravens winning 41-38 in overtime. Both quarterbacks were outstanding in this one. Lamar Jackson threw for 348 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 55 yards. Joe Burrow threw for 392 yards and five touchdowns. Jackson’s favorite target was Zay Flowers who had seven catches for 111 yards. Burrow’s favorite was Ja’Marr Chase who had 10 catches for 193 yards and a touchdown. Derrick Henry was relatively quiet in this one until overtime when he ripped off a 51-yard run to set up the game-winning field goal. Henry also scored his 100th career rushing touchdown in the first quarter. The Ravens host the Washington Commanders in week six while the Bengals travel to New York to take on the Giants.

It was a second straight loss for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night when they fell 20-17 to the Dallas Cowboys. Justin Fields got the start once again for Pittsburgh and played pretty well. He threw for 131 yards with two touchdown passes and ran for 27 yards. The Steelers could not get much else going on the ground as they rushed for just 92 yards as a team. The Steelers play the Las Vegas Raiders in week six.

The Cleveland Browns dropped to 1-4 with their 34-13 loss to the Washington Commanders. Offensive football continues to be a struggle for the Browns. Deshaun Watson managed just 125 yards passing and was sacked seven times. Cleveland opened up the practice window for Nick Chubb last week. Maybe he will give their offense a spark when he returns. At some point, the team might also consider giving Jameis Winston a look under center. The Browns play the Philadelphia Eagles in week six.
