Around the AFC North: Week 3

Justin Fields and the Pittsburgh Steelers improved to 3-0 with their 20-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Fields did mostly all of his damage through the air in this one. He threw for 245 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He spread the ball around to eight different pass catchers. The biggest question in Pittsburgh right now is who the starting quarterback will be once Russell Wilson is healthy enough to play. It would be a tough sell to go to Wilson at this point. The Steelers face the Indianapolis Colts in week four.

The Baltimore Ravens got their first win of the season 28-25 over the Dallas Cowboys. Derrick Henry ran wild in this one gaining 151 yards on 25 carries. He found the end zone twice. King Henry has scored at least one touchdown in each of the Ravens’ first three games. Lamar Jackson threw the ball just 15 times but completed 12 of those for 182 yards and a touchdown. Baltimore’s defense limited the Cowboys to just 51 yards on the ground. The Ravens play the 3-0 Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

It was another tough day for the Cleveland Browns’ offense in their 21-15 loss to the New York Giants. Deshaun Watson threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns but was sacked eight times and lost two fumbles. Wide receiver Amari Cooper had a solid game catching seven passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns. The Browns travel to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders this week.

One of the more surprising stories of the early 2024 NFL Season is the Cincinnati Bengals being winless through their first three games. They fell 38-33 to the Washington Commanders on Monday night. Ja’Marr Chase had his first big game of the season catching six passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Joe Burrow was great in the loss throwing for 324 yards and three touchdowns. The Bengals will look to get their first win of the season when they take on the Carolina Panthers in week four.
