Around the AFC East: Week 8
The Buffalo Bills made it three straight wins in week eight with their 31-10 win over the Seattle Seahawks. The Bills got 283 yards passing from Josh Allen. He also threw two touchdowns. Khalil Shakir led the way for the receivers with nine catches for 107 yards. It was also a big day for James Cook who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns. The Bills play the Miami Dolphins in week nine.
Speaking of the Dolphins, they got Tua Tagovailoa back but it was not enough as they lost 28-27 to the Arizona Cardinals. Tua threw for 234 yards and a touchdown in the loss. It was a big day for De’Von Achane who had 147 total yards and a receiving touchdown. They also got two rushing touchdowns from Raheem Mostert. In the end, their defense could not get a stop and allowed the Cardinals to drive 73 yards in 13 plays for the game-winning field goal as time expired.
The New England Patriots got their second win of the season 25-22 over the New York Jets. Drake Maye had to leave the game after suffering a concussion. Jacoby Brissett replaced him and threw for 132 yards. Rhamondre Stevenson led the way rushing for the Patriots with 48 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. For the Jets, Aaron Rodgers threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns. Garrett Wilson had five catches for 113 yards. The Jets have now lost five straight. Maybe Robert Saleh was not the problem. The Patriots travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans in week nine. The Jets will host the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football.
