Around the AFC East: Week 16
In a game that was closer than pretty much anyone expected, the Buffalo Bills topped the New England Patriots 24-21. Josh Allen had a pretty quiet day throwing for 154 yards with a touchdown and an interception and rushing for just 30 yards. It was a big day for James Cook who rushed for 100 yards on 11 carries. Cook was also the Bills leading receiver with 26 yards. For the Patriots, Drake Maye threw for 261 yards with two touchdowns and an interception and rushed for 30 yards. Kayshon Boutte was the leading receiver with five catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. The Bills host the New York Jets this week while the Patriots play the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Miami Dolphins kept their faint playoff hopes alive with a 29-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers. De’Von Achane had a massive game with 120 yards rushing with a touchdown and 70 yards receiving. Tua Tagovailoa threw for 215 yards and a touchdown. The Dolphins play the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
It was another loss for the Jets in week 16. This time they fell 19-9 to the Los Angeles Rams. Aaron Rodgers threw for 256 yards and a touchdown. Davante Adams led the receivers with seven catches for 68 yards and a touchdown. Garrett Wilson, who apparently is not happy with his role in the offense, had six catches for 54 yards.
